The Nita Trousers are a high waisted cropped trouser style pant with a tapered leg. They feature stitched down front pleats, slash front pockets, a back welt pocket and cuffed hem. There is only one view for this pattern as I felt this style is so classic & iconic there was no need to mix it up!
Each Amy Nicole pattern is named after a woman who has been an inspiration in my life. This pattern is named after my grandma Juanita, aka Nita, aka Nan. She was a joyful woman with a big heart who could cook just about anything and sew better than I can. We said goodbye to Nan quite unexpectedly in October 2019. This pattern is dedicated to her.Recommended Fabrics: The Nita Trousers looks great when sewn in light to mediumweight bottom-appropriate fabrics with little to no stretch. I recommend tencel twill, silk noil, linen, medium weight cottons, ikat, and certain crepes. But sewing is all about experimentation. I encourage you to have fun with it!
