Make all your 1940s film noir dreams come true with the Fatale hooded dress! Hooded garments were a whole vibe in the late 30s / early 40s, and these styles tend to be highly coveted today - I for one am obsessed.

Based on an original 1940 pattern, this fully lined, princess seamed dress can be made with either button-through (view 1) or zipper (view 2) front closure.

Two sleeve options expand the styling possibilities even further: choose either a tailored two-piece long sleeve with darted sleeve cap, or short puff sleeve.

The oversize, rounded hood adds that classic femme fatale mystique, and optional shaped patch pockets complete the look. Add a colour pop with contrast pocket flaps and hood lining.

This versatile pattern lends itself to so many different looks - it will be is fabulous made as a coat dress or as loungewear; you could even lengthen the skirt for a glamorous eveningwear look in crepe or satin.

The Fatale hooded dress is available in vintage sizes 14-24. Get the pattern and instructions on my Patreon page, and look out for the Swingtime Skirt (also pictured), coming soon.
