Dear Fabric, I love you.
I've loved fabrics for a long time. I remember going to the store with my mom when I was just a little girl and wandering the aisles, dreaming about which fabrics I'd pick if I was the one buying, flipping through pattern books, and making grandiose sewing plans in my young head.
Fast forward a whole bunch of years. I had a few babies and I felt inspired to start sewing again. A sewing machine birthday gift got the ball rolling, and the ball's never stopped!
I've spent several years hunting around locally for fabrics, almost always going home disappointed. I started shopping online sometimes but Canadian fabric resources weren't very common, and I often ended up paying an arm and a leg for shipping, which kind of stole the joy from my online shopping.
With more and more people asking me where I buy my fabrics, and with my passion for fabrics only growing while more and more amazing fabrics are released, I decided to take matters into my own hands and open up my own shop, Seam Allowance.
Here you'll find only my favorite fabrics and what I think you'll love as much as I do. I choose my fabrics very carefully and I truly hope you'll love what I have! I want your sewing experience to be as much fun as it possibly can be. Thanks for stopping by, and thanks for taking the time to read.
