From Vogue Patterns:

A-line dress, above Anke variations, has side zipper.  A: sleeveless, close-fitting, shaped, dropped waist, contrast bodice with front insets and bias skirt with front tucks.  B: contrast neck binding with button/loop, front slit and above elbow sleeves.  C: insets, skirt with side front and side back seams and long sleeves.  B, C: fitted bodice.  A, C: No Provision for Above-Waist Adjustment. 

NOTIONS:  Dress A, B, C: 16" (40cm) Zipper.  Also for A: Stay-TapeTM; for B: Stay-TapeTM and One ⅜" (10mm) button; for C: Seam Binding.

FABRICS:  Lt. wt. Wool Crepe, Silk-like Crepe and Crepe Back Satin. Unsuitable for obvious diagonals, plaids or stripes.  Use nap yardages/layouts for pile, shaded or one-way design fabrics. *with nap. **w/o nap.

WIDTHS/LENGTHS:  Width at Lower Edge:  Dress A: 61 to 69" (155 to 175 cm), Dress B: 62 to 70" (157 to 178cm), Dress C: 63 to 71" (160 to 180 cm). Back Length from Base of Neck: Dress A,B: 49½ to 50¾" (126 to 129 cm), Dress C: 50½ to 51¾" (128 to 131 cm)
