Following this tutorial you can sew two cosy quilted pouches: round pouch and pencil case (actually a multi-purpose pouch). A combination of machine and hand sewing are used. Both pouches are decorated with the floral hand applique. Repeat it if you wish (the pattern is also included) or make your own applique, embroidery or patchwork design.
