This is a loose fitting blouse, in a style commonly worn as a summer garment from 1870-1872. It is perfect for sheer or light weight fabrics, and in unlined and not boned. Can be made with a high neck (view A) or open “V” neck with frill (view B). The sleeve is fitted to the elbow with a ruffle headed with a puffing, to give lots of fullness to the wrist. Can be made to tuck in, or with a waistband, both historically correct. Button front closure.

The blouse is drafted based on a tailoring method actually used in the 1870’s. Each size is hand drawn, not scaled. All of the blouse seams are true to the era, and it is designed to fit snugly over a corset.

The E-Pattern contains the following formats:
Letter/A4 – Prints on 35 sheets, needs assembly.
A0 – Prints on 2 sheets.
Shop Copy – 36×68″ page 1.
