From Truly Victorian:

This overskirt is drafted based on an illustration seen in the November 1870 issue of Demorest Monthly Magazine pattern catalog. It is designed to be worn with an underskirt and a bustle. The apron is round in front with a side “sash” section. The back is full at the top, and pleated into the sash. The closure is in the center back. The side sash can be embellished with braid work, embroidery, bows, or any the trims.

This overskirt fits best over TV203 – Transitional Skirt, and TV109 – 1869 Transitional Bustle. TV302 is suitable for a nice visiting skirt, or with elaborate trimming, would make a nice ball gown overskirt.
