From Ralph Pink:

Be Inspired with the Sula Jacket

An edgy, oversized jacket that takes inspiration from the tailored blazer, the Sula jacket is a relaxed cover-up that plays host to a multitude of design features. With very little tailoring involved and customisable features such as chevron panelling on the sleeve, faux jetted pockets and wide rolled lapels, the finished piece will drape the body to form a choppy, casual style that will add panache to absolutely any outfit.

FEATURES

  • Full length sleeves with chevron seam detailing
  • A plunging cross over front, with rolled lapels and faux jetted pockets
  • Back and front Princess line darts
  • Fully lined

CREATIVE TIPS

The Sula jacket is created using one of the most versatile patterns in our entire collection. While intermediate sewers can benefit from constructing a garment with numerous design features that will push technical ability, beginners can simplify the pattern by removing the faux jetted pockets and chevron seam detailing on the sleeve. To really make the most out of this piece, why not try using a medium-weight satin for construction, to create an even softer drape, or use a suiting wool or crepe type material to create more structure. To keep it simple however, we recommend using a medium to heavy weight inelastic fabric.
