From Craftsy:

A prism splits white light into it's component colours, the colours of the rainbow. If your making a quilt for a physics fanatic this block would be a great addition!

I've created a scientifically accurate prism and spectrum but the possibilities are endless. I'd love to see what you come up with, use the tag #etiveprism on Instagram to share your creations!

This prism pattern contains some of small segments so is great for an intermediate to advanced paper-piecer. The pattern will produce a block that is approximately 7x10 1/2 inches which could be used as part of a larger quilt or turned into a wall hanging or mugrug. The PDF also includes instructions to scale-up the pattern to make a quilt of any size.

This PDF download includes:
❤ Printable pieces
❤ Tips for sewing the pieces and directions to piece the sections
❤ A diagram for planning your colour scheme
❤ Instructions to scale-up the pattern to create a larger quilt
❤ no y-seams

The pattern does not include instructions on how to paper piece. There are loads of great quilting resources online where you can learn to paper piece.
