From Made with Moxie:

Prefontaine Shorts for Women are inspired by the running shorts of the 1970s. They feature a retro contrast trim and a comfortable sport elastic waistband. Front pockets lie flat and smooth against the body. Back pockets can be patch or welt style and are designed for to easily tuck a smartphone away. Two inseam lengths (5” and 1.25”) allow you to stitch up modest shorts or shortie shorts.

A long distance runner from Coos Bay, Oregon, Steve Prefontaine was a record breaker. He ran fast and he ran hard. The cocky American athlete rocked long hair and a sweet moustache. Steve was a superstar on the track and sparked the running boom of the 1970s. He died at age 24 when he flipped his convertible leaving a party. At the time of his death, Prefontaine held every American track record between 2,000 and 10,000 meters. His fans chanted “Pre! Pre! Pre!” and wore tshirts that read LEGEND.
