A colorful quilt made up of 24 of the same blocks using different fabrics. The blocks are arranged in a 4x6 pattern. Each block uses a different arrangement of the same fabrics to give varied visual effects. The center and the corner of each block uses the background fabric. The block has a center sawtooth star square surrounded by more flying geese with their points towards the center and HSTs in the corners. There's thin sashing in between the blocks and cornerstone pieces in black at the intersections.
The same quilt as in the first photo, made in shades of oranges, yellows, pinks, and blues, is casually folded and draped over the back of a low grey couch in a neutrally colored room.
This quilt is made with all the blocks using the same solid fabrics for the same pieces. The blocks have a white square at the center, surrounded by a yellow star on a blue background. This center ohio star square is surrounded by light blue bars, and peach and grey flying geese. The corners are a very light grey and white background HST.
A scrappy version of the quilt is held up by a person on the edge of a rocky cliff in front of mountains and forest in the background.
The back of the pattern envelope, noting the fabric amounts required for different sizes of the quilt and the colors used to make the quilt in the first image.

The Nova Star Quilt Pattern is a super fun, modern, and bold star quilt pattern. The pattern has two different design options: Color Explosion and Modern Solid. Nova Star is block based, mix and match and scrap friendly!

This pattern requires advanced beginner/intermediate quilting knowledge. The pattern assumes quilter has knowledge of basic piecing and can use consistent 1/4" seam allowances.

The pattern requires FQs, 1/2 yards OR yardage plus background fabric.

A free variation for creating a pillow using these blocks is available here. It requires the purchase of the main Nova Star Quilt pattern to use.
