From By Hand London:

Cosy up all year round with this lightweight quilted coat with casual drop sleeves, optional rounded collar plus a subtle hip length hi-lo hem and the longer calf length overcoat variations. We’ve included instructions on how to quilt your own fabric, as well as the option to repurpose a second hand quilt for this project.

Recommended Fabrics:

  • Main Fabric: Vintage or second hand quilts are perfect for this pattern. We love a good repurposing project! If you’re quilting the fabric yourself, opt for stable cottons, linens or poly cotton blends. If you want to challenge yourself, velvet, velveteen or dressmaking weight jacquard adds a splash of glamour. Remember that you will have three layers: your main fabric, your batting and the inside backing fabric, so it's best to avoid anything too heavy.

  • Batting: choose high quality batting in cotton, wool, bamboo or a blend. The thicker the batting the warmer your coat will be! For the backing, lightweight cottons are ideal.

Sizes: A-E
To fit bust/chest 30" to 65 3/4", not including wearing ease.
