From Sew Over It:

Everyone needs a pleated skirt in their wardrobe, and the Lizzie Skirt will be your new go-to. With lots of fabric options, Lizzie is incredibly versatile and makes a wonderful pattern to see you through all seasons. Make her in a lovely crisp cotton lawn for summer, or a lightweight wool for a warm winter skirt.

The Lizzie Skirt has pleats, in-seam pockets, a full lining, a waistband and a concealed zip, meaning there is tonnes to learn for beginners, whereas intermediate and advanced sewers will enjoy a fun, quick sew. Lizzie makes a brilliant afternoon project.

Lisa’s favourite shape, the Lizzie Skirt is 1950s-inspired in style, with a trademark cinched-in waist. The pleats are carefully concentrated at the front and back of the skirt for gorgeous fullness, while the side seams are left pleat-free for a flattering, hip-skimming effect. It is a classic knee-length, but thanks to its straight hem, can be easily lengthened or shortened to suit you.

Dress Lizzie up or down depending on your fabric choice. A pretty printed cotton will be your go-to for summer days out, or choose a fancy brocade for a special evening co-ord outfit!
