From Sew Me Something:

Kate is a very versatile shift dress. It has bust darts and a slightly curved side seam to give shape. Bias binding neatens the neckline, pockets and the sleeves on Versions 1 and 3.

Version 1 has a plain, scooped neckline and set in sleeves with a slight gather at the sleeve head.

Version 2 has a scooped neckline with a small amount of gather at the centre. The sleeves are set in as Version 1 but are straight and end above the elbow.

Version 3 has the same scooped and gathered neckline as Version 2 but the sleeves are ¾ length bishop sleeves that end in a gathered binding.

The pockets are curved patch pockets with a little bit of gather to add some interest and finished off with a bound top edge.

The dress finishes about 10cm above the knee.

Suitable Fabrics

Light to medium weight fabrics such as printed craft cotton, linen, poplin, denim, crepe or satin crepe. Neck, sleeve and pocket binding can be made from ready-made bias binding.
