The Jones Trousers are a playful and modern take on the classic trouser. They feature a high waist with elastic back, inverted box pleats, and a slightly dropped crotch – with plenty of ease throughout. The tapered leg of the pants, along with the ankle pleat and cuff, give a gentle balloon shape to the pant legs. The design of the Jones Trousers uses zero-waste drafting techniques to utilize as much of the required fabric as possible while maintaining the style and fit of the pants. The unconventional pattern layout and sewing process lend themselves to a fun and satisfying make.
Emily is wearing Size H throughout the product photos. Her measurements are 36″/34″/42″ at 5’4″ tall. The trousers are shown in 6 oz. Tencel Twill (light, caramel brown), 7 oz. heavy-weight linen (black), and 9 oz. brushed bull denim (brown).
Recommended Fabrics: Mid-weight woven fabrics such as linen, cotton or Tencel twill, hemp, canvas, or lightweight denim. 5-9oz/square yard | 169-305GSM. Fabrics with a good deal of drape will create a more relaxed, fluid garment; while a stiffer, heavier fabric will be more structured throughout the pant legs.
