The Gypsy Swing Top is the perfect pattern for the advanced beginner. This top is based on a trapeze design which gives it a really nice relaxed fit. It has a halter-neck, a ruffled hem and a tie keyhole back closure. The hem sits just on top of the hip bones but could easily be lengthened or shortened at the hemline. The ties, neckline and armholes are all finished with self fabric bias binding. The only skills required for this pattern are gathering and sewing bias binding which makes it perfect for the advanced beginner.

The Gypsy Swing Top is a really cute summer top and is ideal for a casual weekend top.  It would look great teamed up with a pair of distressed denim shorts or jeans and some cute sneakers! The ruffle is quite full and swingy and the hemline will sit right at your hipbones making it a fun little top to wear. Ideally the Gypsy Swing Top should be made up in a light to mid weight cotton, chambray, linen or hemp but could also work in a mid weight satin. This little top would be perfect to wear to a lunch, the beach or a catchup at a cafe with your friends!

The Gypsy Swing Top pattern comes in sizes 6-18 (Australian standards).
