From In the Folds:

It’s a bold statement, but loungewear may well be the greatest invention of the 21st century. Clothes you can sleep in, relax in, AND do the groceries in? Sign. Us. Up. Our Gibson Loungewear pattern is all that, and a few cocktails more! An elevated loungewear pattern that’s designed to be worn in bed, at home or out and about.

Gibson’s loose-fitting style won’t restrict you while sleeping or relaxing on the couch in front of the telly... But its luxuriously detailed finishes will make you feel ‘put together’ enough for that unexpected knock on the door and work-from-home Zoom meetings. We've included 4 different views - so take your pick to create the perfect loungewear set for you!

Intentionally designed for business AND pleasure. (And everything in between.)

GARMENT DETAILS

Featuring beautiful seam finishes and designed for fabrics with a softer drape, the Gibson Loungewear pattern infuses luxurious beauty into garments that often focus solely on comfort. Timeless features include a trapeze silhouette, gathered neckline, button placket or split opening and a choice of elasticated or flutter sleeves, shorts or pants. For a bit of fun, mix and match tops and bottoms in a variety of complimentary fabrics, or just make the pieces that will fit best into your wardrobe and lifestyle.

Keen to give some handmade gifts this season? Gibson’s loose-fitting style makes it the perfect garment to make for a friend or loved one as it doesn’t require fitting.

Recommended Fabrics: The Gibson loungewear set is compatible with light to mid-weight fabrics with a good amount of drape such as: linen, linen blends, cotton, gauze or chambray. For a softer silhouette, consider: sateen, silk (crepe de chine or habotai) or viscose (rayon). Be careful if you are a beginner though, as these fabrics are a little trickier to sew. Fabrics that fray a lot can be difficult to work with when sewing French seams. This is something to keep in mind when selecting fabric.
