From Madeit Patterns:

Eight is a relaxed-fit, drapey, sleeveless tee with a round neck and shoulder pads. That’s right, shoulder pads – an eighties trend with a fresh twist. We’ve added structure to the shoulder to create a powerful, but soft silhouette as a subtle nod to the eighties. But don’t worry, there’s no need to be searching the shops for ready-made shoulder pads, where’s the fun in that? For this pattern, you get to make the shoulder pads yourself, wooo hooo!!!

Never thought you’d be wearing shoulder pads again (or ever)? Well, don’t knock it till you try it. You’ll be surprised at how great the Eight Tee will look on you and what’s more how unbelievably fierce you will feel. But don’t worry, if you really don’t want to go down that road, just leave the shoulder pads out, it may not be as powerful but it will still be beautiful. Team your Eight Tee with a pair of jeans and trainers or smart trousers and heels and you’re good to go.

Recommended Fabrics:  Eight Tee looks particularly gorgeous made in fabric with a good drape. We recommend bamboo jersey. You should be able to stretch your fabric by a minimum of 20% and it should snap back to its original size after stretching.

Single jersey:

  • cotton or cotton/elastane
  • bamboo or bamboo/elastane
  • viscose or viscose/elastane
  • modal jersey
  • Tencel jersey
