When I was little one of my favorite books was, Imogene's Antlers. Imogene wakes up one morning to discover she had deer antlers! Her mother fainted, she had to miss school, and the doctor didn't know what to do with her. The next morning she woke up and they were gone but she had grown a peacock tail instead.

This design uses the three simplest embroidery stitches (the running stitch, the split stitch, and the back stitch), which makes it great for beginners. It's like a paint-by-number with thread!

Your "Coming Home" embroidery kit includes:

  • Embroidery needle
  • Embroidery floss
  • Cotton fabric printed with the pattern
  • 8" embroidery hoop
  • A stitch guide
  • Simple instructions on how to finish the piece

This design is really striking with the black and green. Since almost all of it is running stitches, it's an easy kit to sew after a hard day at work.

The finished piece measures 8" in diameter.
