First came the Change Maker Pin Badge (available on SamanthaClaridgeStudio.com) and now we have the Change Maker Embroidery Pattern, Portia’s vision for the initiative is to make change through the power of making so it made sense that our products for this range would include things that you can make.
We have designed a simple, strong line work version of our Change Maker logo so you can now embroider it anywhere you like!
It is designed for an 8 inch hoop and when you print the pdf at 100% it will come up at the right size for that, but of course you can choose to enlarge or shrink the pattern page to suit where you want to embroider the design.
It includes a printed page of instructions and a page with a pictorial pattern to trace.
The symbol of a fist clenched around a pair of scissors has long been the logo of The Refashioners movement. A community challenge launched in 2011 by Portia Lawrie to challenge and change the way we look at old clothes and textile waste.
