I am a sped teacher turned (or re-turned) sewist! I've always had a passion for supporting those with special needs, but when the pandemic hit, my health prohibited me from teaching in the classroom. So, like many others, I turned to virtual instruction, supplementing my income with sewing commissions as I've done for the past two decades. Fast forward a year, and I launched an Etsy shop as well to sell vintage sewing supplies. By the end of that calendar year, I had transitioned out of teaching to grow my small business! While it was difficult to leave the classroom, I am grateful that I've been able to support my community in a different way. And I'm thrilled to be here with you!
