Happy Sunday! Just finished this super fun summer mash up! The top is the style of Simplicity 8873 but I used the drop waist length from Butterick 6484. Both are Gertie patterns. This was my toile and it worked out amazing. I opted to fully line the bodice rather than using a facing and with the amount of ease in the bust I chose to go down a cup size so I could wear it braless in the Florida summer heat (hence the lining.) This fabric was responsibly orphaned and the only purchased item was a 22in zipper.

I did want to take a second to mention that you shouldn't totally rely on those what to wear for your body shape methodologies. I am pear shaped and purportedly the last thing I should wear is anything that emphasizes my hips but I have to say... I look crazy smashing in this and I think it gives a voice to the part of me I love the most. So my parting advice is to wear whatever makes you feel good.
