This wonderfully deep, rich mossy green seems very plain until you examine the varying shades of lime, grass, damp moss and forest green flecks that are interspersed and woven into the fabric. The Donegal flecks in the yarn help create this classic design and sit perfectly alongside the subtle charcoal warp to give a soft underlying mossy tone and classic herringbone design. This 100% new wool composition makes for a lightly textured, medium/heavy weight fabric, with a firm handle and good drape quality.

A tweed that will take you anywhere from office formality to the great outdoors - a tailored jacket for work or a traditional look for country attire. The singing colours dotted throughout the classic herringbone reinvent the traditional feel of tweed with a contemporary twist.

Historical re-enactors rejoice - this timeless fabric is the perfect addition for your theatrical wardrobe!

The beauty of this green palette is that it can stand alone or act as a brilliant contrast alongside other woollens, such as Winter Berries, that complements the mossy shade excellently. The drape and texture of Rich Mossy Green lends itself to both structured and unstructured garments. Experiment for yourself with an asymmetric style and pleat this fabric to create an unstructured dress or kilt-style skirt. For more structured styles go for the Sew Different Cocoon Coat or the Sew Over It Ultimate Pencil SkirtFailing that, Simply Sewing Magazine Issue 49 has a fantastic coat and pinafore dress pattern 'Eloise'. Match your garments to handmade accessories (that you can forge using leftover scraps and other sewing stash bits) such as bags, berets or scarves, for that perfect winter outfit!

These greens will match beautifully with almost any interiors project - scatter cushions and matching blinds, small accessories such as draught excluders and door stoppers. Or why not fringe the ends to make your own wonderful cosy throws?

Feeling festive? Quirky Christmas stockings are a fun and creative way of creating future family heirlooms and classic festive home accessories that you'll be proud to display ever year. Use alongside the Avoca Classic Plaids for a truly woolly cosy festive theme with an Irish twist
