Description: Polartec® Power Air™ is a new revolutionary knit construction that encapsulates air to retain warmth and reduce microfiber shedding.

Power Air™ is different from traditional fabrics that rely solely on mechanically-lofted (napped and sheared) yarns to trap and hold warm air. Instead its unique construction contains these fibers within air pockets. The air pockets keep in warmth and reduce the potential for microfiber shedding in the wash. Shed up to 5x less microfibers than traditional fleeces.

Bottles Recycled: 16.75 per yard

Content: 54% REPREVE polyester, 38% polyester, 8% spandex

Approximate Weight (may vary): 356 GSM (about 10.5 oz/yd²)

Stretch percentages: ~35% (horizontal), ~50% (vertical)

Width: approx 61″

Manufactured in: US

Certificates: Oeko Tex, Bluesign® System

Please note: due to the air pocket design when you cut out your pattern pieces you will cut the air pockets, releasing the fibers contained inside the air pockets. Polartec has advised to serge the fabric edges after cutting to keep remaining fibers inside. They also suggested using a flat lock stitch when assembling your garment. I would also advise to cut in an area where any released fibers can be easily cleaned up and do not dispose of them down the drain.
