From elizabethhartman.com:

This simple quilt pattern comes together quickly with precut fabric squares or scraps. Use 5” charm squares to make a baby quilt, or 10” squares to make a twin bed/large sofa quilt. The simple construction of these quilts is perfect for beginners and a great way to show off favorite fabrics.

The original version of this quilt, which I made for Sew, Mama, Sew! several years ago, was designed to use a pack of precut 5" squares. This updated version of the pattern includes a Twin (or, if you prefer, Large Lap) quilt version made using 10" squares.

Both versions can be made using precut squares, squares cut from your scraps and stash, or a combination of the two. Straight line quilting with a walking foot is the perfect way to finish these simple quilts.

Finished measurements:

  • Baby 33" x 40"
  • Twin 71" x 85"
