This dress was heavily hacked from the Moneta Dress by Colette Patterns, and sewn from an amazing fabric haul (like 10 yards of this knit) at the Salvation Army in Hood River, OR. Overlocked all the seams, and used 1/4" clear elastic for gathering the skirt, just like the pattern calls for. I also lined the bodice on this dress as the fabric was slightly sheer, and it also gave the bodice more structure/durability.

Shortened the xs bodice by multiple inches, shaved a couple inches off at the shoulder, and graded out the waist a bit as needed to allow for positive ease. I used the xs skirt as-is, sans pockets. I re-drafted the curve of the sleeve shoulder, after removing approximately two inches from it, if I remember correctly.
