Just for fun, I sewed a test muslin out of vintage cotton since my friends both wanted dresses from this pattern. I wanted to have another run at sewing it to ensure the fit was right for them before cutting into their precious vintage fabric.

I added rick rack trim, but ended up hating it and thus never finished the dress. It annoys me. I think I'm going to remove the rick rack from the neckline and sew it on again about 1.5 inches away from the neckline edge.

Note: I never sewed the friends' birthday dresses. Their fabrics are just hanging out in my stash now, waiting for me to pay attention.

Graded out the waist and hips, my standard adjustment. Kept my previous mod of removing a few inches from shoulder/sleeve length in the middle, effectively eliminating the need for shoulder pads.
