From Grainline Studio:

On crisp fall mornings in the Grainline studio, we listen to squirrels outside rustling around in the leaves, gathering seeds and acorns for the winter. They are playful and occasionally jump up on our windowsill to say hello! These squirrels are instant conversation starters. What if they come inside?! We share our stories about squirrels and sometimes even relate to their personalities. We wish we had nuts to feed them. Up here in the north we have a lot in common with the squirrels. We are electric and playful in the summer, keeping ourselves busy knowing that the long summer days are fleeting. As it gets cold, we slow down and prepare for the winter by gathering food for our pantries and quilts for our beds. We collect patterns and projects to keep us busy during the coming winter. We hope this squirrel brings you joy to make as the seasons turn cool.

This pattern is available as a PDF from Grainline Studio and in the Fall 2016 "No. 2 Fauna" issue of Making Magazine.
